Yhdenvertaisuuden ja tasa-arvon toteutumisen laatukriteerien laadinta

The Finnish Education Evaluation Centre (FINEEC) will host a launch event on gender equality and non-discrimination in early childhood education and care (ECEC) on 3 December 2026. More information by changing the language to Finnish or Swedish.

The event will introduce new evaluation tools for supporting and assessing gender equality and non-discrimination in ECEC, as well as a summary report on the topic. The programme will include presentations of the tools, expert perspectives and a panel discussion.

The work forms part of the Finnish Government’s Development Programme for Equality and Non-Discrimination in Education, which aims to strengthen equality, non-discrimination and wellbeing across all levels of education. As part of the programme, FINEEC has developed research-based quality criteria and national evaluation tools for assessing how gender equality and non-discrimination are realised in ECEC settings. The tools will be published in Valssi, Finland’s national quality management and evaluation system for early childhood education and care.
